Personal backup application
Backup client homeserver
A private, single-owner tool for backing up a home photo and video library to the owner's Google Drive account.
What the application does
The application uses restic and rclone to create encrypted backups of Immich original photos and videos, a consistent PostgreSQL database dump, and the configuration needed for recovery.
The intended schedule is daily at 00:00 Vietnam time (UTC+7), with a rolling 30-day retention policy, normally providing about 30 daily recovery points. Old snapshots are expired after a new backup succeeds; an unsuccessful run can leave older recovery points available.
Google Drive access
The owner grants access through Google's sign-in and consent screen. The scheduled backup remote uses the drive.file scope for its backup repository. A separately configured, owner-operated rclone remote also uses full Google Drive access for browsing and file transfers requested by the owner. Backup data is encrypted before upload; the recovery password is kept separately by the owner.
This is a personal backup utility. These informational pages provide no access to photographs, backup contents, account credentials or administration tools.
